Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of the implementation of the two finger method to improve the competence of deaf students to read hijaiyah letters with fathah, kasrah, and dhamah. The still weak ability of students to recite harakat fathah, kasrah, and dhamah became the basis for researchers to apply the two-finger method in learning. The hypothesis states that the two-finger learning method can improve the competence of deaf students to recite harakat fathah, kasrah and dhomah in hijaiyah letters. The research method used is classroom action research which is taken in three  learning cycles. The research subjects were deaf students in grade 3 SLBN/B. The results of the study indicate that in the initial assessment the student's score of 58 has  not yet reached KKM 61. After being given learning treatment, students can reach the KKM. in the first cycle the average value was 67, increased by 80 in the second cycle, in the third cycle it was 82. The results of this study stated that the hypothesis of the action was declared acceptable.
