This research was motivated by the researcher's interest in the book Ta'limul Muta'allim by Shaykh Burhanuddin Az-Zarnuji and K.H. Ahmad Dalan in the Concept of Islamic Education.This study aims to describe: 1). The concept of Islamic education 2). Differences and similarities in the concept of Islamic education 3). The relevance of the concept of Islamic education in the context of today's education.To obtain representative data in the discussion of this study, the researchers used library research methods.Based on the data analysis carried out, the researcher can conclude as follows: 1). The concept of Islamic Education of Shaykh Burhanuddin Az-Zarnuji as contained in the book Ta'lîmul Muta'allim outlines 13 articles about the manners of seeking knowledge. 2). Differences and similarities in the concept of Islamic education Shaykh Burhanuddin Al-Zarnuji and K.H. Ahmad Dahlan is as follows: a). Media to achieve the degree of piety. b). Classification of subjects according to the Hanafi school, c). The learning method is to develop abilities, mentally, memory and intellectually. While the concept of Islamic education K.H. Ahmad Dahlan offers a new concept that departs from understanding human nature as a whole. While the similarities are both instilling and realizing awareness in a humane way that lives together. 3). The relevance of the concept of Islamic education according to Shaykh Burhanuddin Shaykh Burhanuddin Az-Zarnuji and K.H. Ahmad Dahlan in the context of current education is his consistency in understanding pure education as moral formation and his considerable attention to the effectiveness of receiving information (science). without crashing into the frame of etiquette (adab) in all the processes so as to create a complete human being
