Abstract

he success of learning objectives is determined by many factors including the teacher's factor in carrying out the teaching and learning process, because teachers can directly influence, foster and improve students' intelligence and skills. The purpose of this study is to help students find solutions to the learning problems they face by using resitation methods that can improve student understanding and learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education subjects. This research was carried out using
a class action research design which was carried out in 2 cycles. The research procedure of each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were all students of class IX-4 SMP Negeri 6 Balikpapan totaling 3 6 people. The data collection technique uses observation and tests, while the method used to analyze the data from this study is a descriptive method. For quantitative data are analyzed by making class intervals and performing presentations in the form of tables and graphs. The delivery of learning materials through the resitation method is able to improve students' ability to understand concepts in Islamic Religious Education subjects and improve student learning outcomes. Meanwhile, students who are still unable to improve their understanding or learning outcomes are given repetitions and exercises.
