Abstract

A state servant in this case, an employee of the Ministry of Religion, especially those who serve in the Islamic education section, must provide excellent service/service excellence, namely an attitude or way of employees in serving customers satisfactorily with the character of service, including: friendly, polite, orderly, fast, quality results and full of integrity so that the community gets excellent service, which is an attitude or way of employees in serving the community satisfactorily". To find out the implementation of excellent service at the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Balikpapan City, especially in the PAI section, this research was carried out this
research using a survey method with samples of religious teachers, supervisors and the community, using questionnaire and interview techniques. From the results of the research carried out, it can be concluded that the excellent service in the PAI section
runs very satisfactorily for customers. However, there is still something that must be improved, namely the problem of service speed, and de digitization of services.
