Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the study of the role of Islamic religious educatioan teachers in overcoming learning difficulties students read the Qur’an, so that students who are not fluent in reading can fluently read the Qur’an. There are three focus of research in overcoming the learning difficulties of students reading the Qur’an. That is the: first, difficulty faced by students in grade VII; the second, role of Islamic religious education teachers in overcoming the difficulties of learning to read the Qur’an; third, supporting and inhibing factors in overcoming  learning difficulties students read the Qur’an. The main method developed in this study is a qualitative approach that takes objects in public junior high schools 09 implantation Masni Manokwari. The method of participant observation and documentation is used in data collection in the field. While the analyst method used is descriptive, namely data collection, data collection, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that , the First difficulties faced by students in learning to read the Qur’an are: a) how to pronounce the letters are still stumbling brick, b) difficult to determine the law of reading, c) reversing words, d) said wrong. Second the role of Islamic religious education teachers in overcoming the difficulties of reading the Qur’an is to: a) provide guidance, b) provide motivation, and direction, c) practive, d) read the Qur’an every day, e) give memorization of juz amma. Tird supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing these, namely: a) the existence of al hadith and ans al Qur’an, b) the existence of literacy books. While inhibiting factors include: a) Lack of habit of reading the Qur’an b) lack of awareness of students c) lack of attention from the family.
