Abstract

This research is a classroom action research which is carried out in 2 cycles. The research subjects were students of class IX C UPTD SMPN 2 Bati-Bati, in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year with a total of 26 students. The research procedure consists of 4 stages in each cycle, namely planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. The PAI learning process is carried out using the snowball throwing learning model. indicators of learning outcomes in this study are the achievement of individual and classical learning mastery.

The data collection was carried out by the methods: interviews, observation, documentation and evaluation tests, and LKS (student worksheets). The data from the evaluation test observations were processed by descriptive analysis to describe the  state of increasing the achievement of success in each cycle and to describe the success of learning by using the snowball throwing learning model.

The results showed that: PAI learning outcomes of students through the snowball throwing learning model improved learning outcomes, especially on the subject matter of Faith to Qadha and Qadar in the first cycle, the average grade was 7.56 with learning completeness of 97.14%. Learning activities between students were 57.6% and student learning activities with teachers were 70% and increased to 8.82 with 100% learning completeness. Learning activities between students are 82.16% and student learning activities with teachers are 84.17% in the second cycle. So no need to do cycle III.
